4 VER I regret to inform you of the death of Inspector E.
O'Sullivan, Hongkong Police, which occurred at 9.50 p.m.
on the
18th. instant.
Inspector O'Sullivan had been under treatment for
diabettes all last sumer though he was able to do his duty all
the time.
Last October he caught cold and was admitted to
Hospital on the 21st. when he was found to be suffering from
Phthisis.
The disease was, from the first, very acute accom-
-panied by fever, progressive loss of weight and loss of appetite.
He slowly became weaker and finally took to his bed about a fort-
-night ago. He died quietly from heart failure yesterday evening.
